A Rare George III Hallmarked Sterling Silver Wine Ewer by Thomas Rowe. The Ewer is 12" in height and 6" in length (handle to spout) with the base of 3 3/8" square and a diameter to the body of 5". The Ewer has a substantial weight of 26.5 oz 752 grams.The Wine Ewer has a Superb Neo Classical design standing on a square formed base with a stepped circular base above with an urn shaped lower body and tapering in upper body with both beaded round the body and upper rim with a hinged domed lid and fixed urn shaped finial and a high looped "C" shaped handle with the initials WEM to the body (see photo's).
