Rare George III Hm Sterling Silver Tankard 1811
A Rare George III Hallmarked Sterling Silver Tankard by Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard. The Tankard is 4 1/4" in height 5 1/4" handle to rim 3 5/8" in diameter to the base and 3 1/4" diameter to the top rim. The Tankard has a weight of 12.4 oz 352 gms. The Tankard has an excellent shape sitting on a flat circular base with slight tapering sides with banded ribs with an excellent "C" shaped handle with a quality gilt finish to the inside with an excellent Royal C rest showing to the front of the tankard (see photo's).
The Tankard is in Excellent Condition (see photo's). Makers Mark - RE over EB - Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard. Lion Passant - Sterling Mark. Town Mark - Leopards Head Crowned - London. Date Letter - Q - 1811.
