A Rare George III Hallmarked Sterling Silver 4 Footed Salver by William Fountain and Daniel Pontifex. The Salver has a diameter of 16 1/2" and a height of 1 3/4". The Salver has a substantial weight of 61.0 oz or 1,730 grams. The Salver has a stunning raised Shell scrolled border and stands on 4 cast feet. The Salver has scrolled foliate and flower engraving with the entwined initials JEL to the centre. The Salver is in Excellent condition (see photo's) note the black line showing in the photo's is a reflection of the conservatory roof bars. Lion Passant - Sterling Mark.
