1790, RARE 18th CENTURY EARLY GEORGE III SILVER SOUP/STEW LADLE, G SMITH & W FEARN
Rare and very collectable Antique George III Sterling Solid Silver Soup, Stew or Serving Ladle, Hallmarked For London 1790, making this an 18th Century 230 Year old Antique Treasure. Fully hallmarked for GEORGE SMITH & WILLIAM FEARN registered from 1788 to 1796 in London. The Ladle is 32.5cm/12.5 inches Long, and weighs 160gms, it is of the Old English Pattern, it is not monogrammed but has the crest of a head and neck of a horse, please look at the pictures, Although the ladle is big it has a very elegant feel to it. The Hallmarks are very crisp and clear , the spoon is made of a good gauge of silver.
The condition is very good Antique condition for a spoon that is 230 years old it has very little wear to the bowl, a highly polished finish, a couple of small dinks in the bowl, no repairs or damage, surface scratches commensurate with age, a very collectable 18th century item of silver that would grace any collection.
